Judd Utermark, Ole Miss all-time HR leader, announces return for 5th season

Judd Utermark is coming back for another season of Ole Miss baseball.
Shortly following Will Furniss’ announcement about 2027, Utermark confirmed that he will also be playing a fifth year with the Rebels. Like Furniss, Utermark shared an “I’m Back” video on social media.

Utermark has played in 181 games over 4 seasons at Ole Miss. He broke the program’s home run record when he hit the 49th of his career during the 2026 season. Utermark finished Year 4 with 51 homers. He slashed .309/.419/.630 in his senior season, starting 62 games at 3rd base and 2 in center field, recording 75 total hits, 22 home runs and 55 RBIs.
Furniss and Utermark are taking advantage of the recent court decision by Colorado judge Charlotte Sweeney ruling that all members of the Class of 2022 are eligible for a 5th year applying the NCAA’s new 5-in-5 age-based policy. The NCAA lost an initial appeal last week. Sweeney did clarify, however, that her ruling does not change any policies regarding revenue-sharing or transfers.
