LSU now big betting favorite to win College World Series following Arkansas victory

After just 2 days of the College World Series, LSU baseball is emerging as a significant favorite to win the title.
The Tigers entered the week virtual co-favorites along with Arkansas in College World Series betting odds. But after picking up a massive win over the Razorbacks on Saturday night in Omaha, LSU has begun to separate itself from the pack.
According to the latest odds from BetMGM, LSU is now +115 to win the title for the second time in three years. The Tigers also took home college baseball’s top prize in 2023 with a team led by Paul Skenes.
The second-biggest favorite in CWS odds is now Coastal Carolina at +360. Oregon State, who will face Coastal on Monday, is next at +425. Arkansas currently has the fourth-best odds at +650 despite being relegated to the loser’s bracket by LSU on Saturday night.

LSU still has plenty of work to do, however. The Tigers will face UCLA on Monday evening for the right to advance to the semifinals. A win in that game against the Bruins would put LSU in great position to advance to the championship series.
Arkansas will have to get past Murray State on Monday if it wants to advance. The Racers have moved to +20000 in betting odds at BetMGM following their tough loss to UCLA on Saturday.
LSU will be in action again on Monday against UCLA at 7 p.m. ET.
