Luke Dotson has found a new home in the SEC.
After 2 seasons at Mississippi State, Dotson has decided to continue his college baseball career at Texas. He made the announcement Monday, sharing the big news on social media.

A native of Marietta, Georgia, Dotson prepped at Mount Paran Christian School. A left-hander, Dotson is listed as measuring 6-4 and 210 pounds.
As a freshman, Dotson made 11 relief appearances for MSU. He pitched 12 innings, posting an ERA of 8.25, allowing 11 earned runs on 15 hits. He faced 59 batters who went .294 at the plate, striking out 19 and walking 5.
Dotson saw more playing time in 2025, logging 23.1 IP over 18 relief appearances. Opponents’ batting average dropped to .214 as he allowed 8 earned runs on 18 hits, while striking out 34 and walking 12.
