Happy Fatherโ€™s Day wishes spread across social media Sunday morning, including an inventive video from the Alabama menโ€™s basketball X (formerly Twitter) account โ€“ featuring senior forward Drew Fielder and his cousin, freshman forward Cole Cloer, offering dad jokes.

The duo, seated in plush chair sipping from coffee cups in the Crimson Tide meeting room, deadpanned dad jokes while trying to get each other to crack a smile.

Among the favorites:

โ€œWhere is a basketball playerโ€™s favorite place to eat? โ€ฆ Dunkinโ€™ Donuts.โ€

โ€œWhy donโ€™t fish play basketball? โ€ฆ Because theyโ€™re scared of the net.โ€

โ€œWhat do you call a shrimp thatโ€™s good at basketball? โ€ฆ LePrawn James.โ€

โ€œHow do billboards talk? โ€ฆ Sign language.โ€

โ€œVelcro, manโ€ฆ such a rip off.โ€

โ€œHow do mermaids wash their fins? โ€ฆ Tide.โ€

The last one, offered by Cloer, garnered a giggle from Fielder seated beside him โ€“ but the subsequent request for a dap was denied by Fielder and left Cloer hanging with outstretched hand in mid-air.

Fielder is a recent transfer to Alabama after spending the 2025-26 season at Boise State and his first two seasons at Georgetown. Cloer originally signed to play for NC State in late 2025, but switched to the Crimson Tide following the 2025-26 season.
