Yale is coming off a 2024-25 season in which the Bulldogs repeated as Ivy League Tournament champions, also claiming the regular-season conference title. The team posted a 22-8 overall record, going 13-1 in conference play. Yale had its 2024-25 season end with an 80-71 loss to Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Bulldogs have made 3 of the last 4 NCAA Tournaments. In 2024, Yale upset Auburn to reach the Round of 32, its first March Madness since 2016.
Alabama and Yale have only 1 meeting in their history. The Crimson Tide won 66-63 on Dec. 28, 2008.
UA expects to be a championship contender again in 2025-26. In 2025, Alabama made it back-to-back Elite 8 appearances for the first time in program history, going 28-9 in a season that ended with a loss to Duke. The previous year, Nate Oats guided the Crimson Tide to the program’s first-ever Final Four.
In 6 seasons, Alabama is 145-63 under Oats.
