John Calipari’s Arkansas staff landed a big-time commitment. Now, the question is when he will be joining the Razorbacks.
Caleb Ourigou is the newest Arkansas commitment. The 6-10 center is currently considered a Class of 2027 prospect, but he’s openly considering reclassifying to 2026 and joining the Razorbacks for next season.
Out of Overtime Elite, Ourigou is listed as measuring 6-10 and 240 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Ourigou is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 center, No. 7 prospect in the state of Georgia and No. 40 recruit overall in the Class of 2027.

Ourigou picked up scholarship offers from 29 programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee. He told Joe Tipton of Rivals that he committed to Arkansas over BYU, Kentucky and UConn. Ourigou also told Tipton that he is leaning toward reclassifying to the Class of 2026, which would make him a freshman for the 2026-27 season.

As it stands, Ourigou is Arkansas’ second commitment for 2027. The Razorbacks currently have 2 signees, 2 transfer additions and 3 players committed in their 2026 class.
Caleb Ouriguoโs commitment to Arkansas adds much wanted/needed girth and a bruiser to the Razorbacksโs front court. The potential 2026 reclass is incredibly physical and violent in the paint seeking some kind of contact every possession.
