Charles Bediako has been one of the biggest talking points in college basketball the last couple weeks after he was granted a TRO and play at Alabama despite leaving the school two seasons ago to pursue the NBA.
Friday is the date when the hearing has been set to see if he would be able to continue to play for the Crimson Tide this season. Earlier in the week, Bediako attempted to get the hearing postponed, but that request was denied on Thursday.
Bediako instantly became a key contributor for Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide, as he is averaging 9.5 points and 5 rebounds in four games while also playing 21.5 minutes per game.
During the Crimson Tide’s loss at Florida last week, Bediako heard a lot of chants and comments from the Florida crowd. As ruthless as the Gators’ fans were to Bediako, the matchup on Saturday could be a different level.
The Crimson Tide have a big rivalry game on Saturday as they hit the road to take on the Auburn Tigers. The hearing on Friday is going to determine if Bediako is able to play on Saturday, as well as the rest of the season.
