ESPN Analytics is currently giving Tennessee basketball a 67.1% chance to beat the Missouri Tigers on Tuesday evening. The Vols and Tigers are set to face off at 9 p.m. ET on SEC Network from Mizzou Arena.

And despite Tennessee having to travel to Columbia for this matchup, it’s not hard to see why ESPN Analytics favors the Vols. Tennessee is quietly on a massive run, having won 8 of its last 10, with losses coming to Kentucky in heartbreaking, comeback-fashion. Apart from two bad halves of basketball against the Wildcats, the Volunteers have been fantastic across the past month or so.

Missouri hasn’t been too bad either – just inconsistent. The Tigers downed Texas A&M and Vanderbilt in recent weeks, but also fell to Arkansas and Texas. With the Mizzou right on the bubble heading into the month of March, Tuesday presents a simply massive opportunity for Dennis Gates and Co.

If the Tigers are going to have any chance in this one, Mark Mitchell is going to have to have a big game offensively. He scored just 4 points against the Volunteers last season, but just finished up one of the better games he’s had all year with a 26-point outing against the Razorbacks.

For the Vols, be sure to watch out for Ja’Kobi Gillespie. The Maryland transfer was instrumental in Tennessee’s win over Vanderbilt on Saturday with Nate Ament struggling against the Commodores defense. Speaking of Ament, it feels unlikely that he’ll post 2 bad games in a row.

This is an underrated matchup, folks. Who you got?
