Alston hails from Houston, Texas, where he plays for Houston Second Baptist. In addition to being the No. 9 player in the 2027 class, Alston is considered the No. 3 point guard and No. 1 player out of the Lone Star State.
Alston was initially offered by LSU on October 9, 2025, well before Will Wade returned to Baton Rouge for his second stint as the Tigers’ coach. He took an official visit to LSU on September 3.
With that, LSU now has the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation for the 2027 cycle. Alston is the 3rd commitment of LSU’s offseason, alongside 4-star combo guard King Gibson and 4-star PF Ahmad Hudson, who is also committed to Lane Kiffin and the Tigers to play tight end.
