Mississippi State basketball added a commitment from 4-star Class of 2027 small forward Jalen White on Thursday, beating out the likes of West Virginia, Oregon, Washington and Oklahoma State, to name a few.
White is a 6-foot-6 small forward from Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, Arizona. He’s a top 100 player in the 2027 cycle according to 247Sports (and other major services), considered to be the nation’s No. 89 overall recruit as well as the No. 24 small forward and No. 9 prospect out of the state of Arizona.

White is the 2nd player to commit to Chris Jans and the Bulldogs in the 2027 cycle. He joins 3-star shooting guard Jacques Mitchell, who committed in August and hails from Oklahoma.
Mississippi State is set to start its season in just a few days, as the Bulldogs get ready to face off against Mississippi State on Monday, November 2. MSU missed out on the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season in 2025-26, meaning there’s extra pressure on Jans and star guard Josh Hubbard to take care of business this season.
