Mizzou hits buzzer beaters at end of regulation, OT to beat Oklahoma
Missouri hit back-to-back buzzer beaters on Saturday to defeat Oklahoma 88-87 in overtime.
Facing a 3-point deficit in the closing seconds of regulation, Trent Pierce hit a trailing 3-pointer to force overtime. Oklahoma chose not to foul up 3, instead allowing T.O. Barrett to find an open Pierce for the game-tying shot.

In overtime, Oklahoma once again held a lead in the closing seconds. The game was tied with the shot clock off when Xzayvier Brown hit a crafty floater to put the Sooners up by 2.

This win will have significant implications for both programs. The Tigers are now 4-3 this season and are still in the mix for an NCAA Tournament bid if they can have a strong close to the regular season.
As for the Sooners, they have now lost six consecutive SEC contests and their March Madness hopes are slim-to-none. Head coach Porter Moser may also be on the hot seat as his Oklahoma program has missed the tournament in three of his four seasons so far.
Mizzou will look to continue this momentum when it travels to play Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night.
