NBA Mock Draft 2025: Latest ESPN 2-round projections include 11 SEC stars

NBA Mock Draft season is officially upon us. The 2025 draft will be here before we know it, taking place in Brooklyn in late-June.
On Monday night, the Florida Gators came from 12 points back to stun Houston in the NCAA Tournament title game. Now the Gators are set to lose guys like Walter Clayton Jr. and Alex Condon to the NBA Draft.
Both of those guys are projected to be first-round picks in the latest 2-round mock draft from ESPN experts Jonathon Givony and Jeremy Woo.
All in all, 11 SEC basketball standouts are predicted to go in the NBA Draft — 7 in Round 1 and 4 in Round 2. Here’s a look at which guys are expected to hear their names called:
SEC Round 1 projections
- No. 5 — Tre Johnson, G, Texas — Philadelphia 76ers
- No. 6 — Jeremiah Fears, G, Oklahoma — Brooklyn Nets
- No. 10 — Collin Murray-Boyles, F, South Carolina — Houston Rockets
- No. 21 — Asa Newell, C, Georgia — Orlando Magic
- No. 26 — Adou Thiero, F, Arkansas — Brooklyn Nets
- No. 28 — Walter Clayton Jr., G, Florida — Boston Celtics
- No. 29 — Alex Condon, C, Florida — Phoenix Suns
SEC Round 2 projections
- No. 38 — Johni Broome, F, Auburn — San Antonio Spurs
- No. 39 — Tahaad Pettiford, G, Auburn — Toronto Raptors
- No. 41 — Chaz Lanier, G, Tennessee — Golden State Warriors
- No. 54 — Koby Brea, G/F, Kentucky — Indiana Pacers
