Scottie Pippen calls to congratulate Auburn on reaching Final Four

Scottie Pippen knows a thing or 2 about winning a title. The former Chicago Bulls star won 6 NBA Finals trophies with Michael Jordan during one of the most dominant runs in NBA history.
Over the weekend, Auburn basketball punched its ticket to the Final Four with a convincing victory over 2-seed Michigan State to claim the South Region title. Now the Tigers face an SEC foe in the Florida Gators with a spot in the NCAA Tournament men’s national title game on the line.
After the win over Michigan State, Pippen called the Auburn squad to congratulate the Tigers on the big victory. As you can see below, Dylan Cardwell and company had a couple of questions for Pippen about Auburn assistant coach Corey Williams, who was on the Bulls’ 1993 title team:
Cardwell wanted to know if Coach Williams was “a bucket” when he played for the Bulls. During the 1992-93 season, Williams appeared in 35 games for the Bulls, averaging 2.3 points per contest.
He had 1 career 10-point game for the Bulls, reaching double-digits on Jan. 26, 1993, in a lopsided victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Pippen’s son, Scotty Pippen Jr., went to Vanderbilt and is now a member of the Memphis Grizzlies. However, it’s clear Pippen is rooting for his former teammate Corey Williams and this year’s Auburn Tigers.
