The 2026 NBA Draft has come and gone, and by this time next year, we’ll be discussing which players have been selected among the 2027 crop of players.
One of those will be Thomas Haugh. The Florida star projected to be taken relatively early had he decided to forgo his senior season with the Gators. Instead, the 2026 first-team All-SEC selection decided to return for one final season in Gainesville.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Woo, Haugh will come off the board at No. 7 in 2027. That’s currently the Memphis Grizzlies’ selection, which they received in a trade with the Utah Jazz.
“Haugh’s size, versatility, and nonstop motor give him a strong role-player profile that should again have broad appeal with NBA teams. Improving on his 32.6% 3-point clip will be important for him to keep a spot in the lottery, but he does multiple valuable things well,” Woo said.
The Gators couldn’t make it back-to-back national championships as they fell to Iowa in the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. But with Haugh, Alex Condon, Rueben Chinyelu, and Boogie Fland back together, there’s no reason to think that Florida won’t find itself in Detroit for the Final Four come spring.
In 34 games with Florida in 2025-26, Haugh averaged 17.1 points and 6.2 rebounds.
