Itโs time for Week 7 of the college football season.
Below youโll find 3 DFS pick โem projections for Week 7. Last week, all 3 picks hit โ hopefully the hot streak will continue for another slate.ย
DFS predictions Week 7
All projections are via Underdog this week:
Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith lower than 133.5 yards
Itโs true that Jeremiah Smith is the best receiver in the country and perhaps the most talented wideout in recent memory. Iโm still fading his receiving yardage projection this week against an Indiana defense that will put more pressure on Julian Sayin than he has seen in more than a month. The betting markets have Ohio State projected to score around 27 points, which implies the Buckeyes will have far fewer passing yards in this game than they have in most other games this season. That, as a result, means significantly less production for Smith, who is averaging about 153 receiving yards per game this season.
West Virginia QB Michael Hawkins higher than 166.5 passing yards
If it ainโt broke, donโt fix it. Iโm going back to the well for a third-straight week with Hawkins. He is difficult to price because his passing volume is very low but his efficiency is relatively high. Hawkins has averaged at least 9 yards per attempt in 4 of 6 games so far this season but only has one outing with 25+ attempts (which came last week). A whopping 43% of his passes travel 15+ yards beyond the line of scrimmage, which means heโll have plenty of opportunity to soar over this number even if he doesnโt hit 25 attempts. In Week 7, Hawkins will face a middling Cincinnati defense thatโs below-average in defensive success rate.ย

Miami running back Javian Mallory higher than 34.5 rushing yards
Javian Mallory has been primarily used as Mark Fletcher Jr.โs backup this season but I think thereโs a lot of different ways he could get to 35+ rushing yards in this contest. First, itโs worth noting that Fletcher and Mallory split carries almost 50/50 against Clemson 2 weeks ago. Fletcher was coming off of an injury, so perhaps he was on a pitch count and will be healthier for this game coming off of a bye week. Even in that scenario, Mallory could get plenty of work in garbage time โ the Canes are favored by 21.5 points and should have the result no longer in doubt by midway through the third quarter.ย
