LSU reportedly makes roster decision on Dae’Quan Wright, Zxavian Harris

LSU won’t be adding Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris to its roster, after all.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Tigers have added two players to their roster, reaching the 105-player cap. That means that Wright and Harris won’t play for LSU as its roster is locked “for the rest of the year,” Thamel reports.
It’s an anticlimactic end to a weeks-long saga involving lawsuits, injunctions, temporary restraining orders, and policies from the Power Four conferences banning players who had signed NFL contracts from competition. Wright and Harris, who both signed undrafted free-agent contracts with NFL teams after leaving Ole Miss, eventually won an injunction that cleared the way for them to join LSU’s roster and reunite with Lane Kiffin.
Ultimately, the two weren’t named to the roster for LSU’s season opener against Clemson. Now, with this latest development, their chance to play for LSU looks to be out the window altogether.
The news comes after the SEC filed a lawsuit against LSU, arguing that LSU had violated the conference’s First Amendment rights. That lawsuit was amended on Tuesday as the SEC sought legal authority to expel LSU from the conference altogether, a rather nuclear option that stood little chance of happening.
