Former Georgia star WR A.J. Green has battled a toe injury for much of this season, and the Cincinnati Bengals this week made a roster move the injury sidelined him again.
Green, in his eighth season, suffered a toe injury earlier this season and missed three games. He returned to play last week against Denver, but re-injured the toe in the second quarter. The team has since placed him on the reserve/injured list.
Green recorded 46 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdowns this season.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Green wore a boot on Monday, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that surgery is expected, which will sideline him for several months.
