Ahmad Hardy is reportedly set to be released from the hospital after being seen for injuries he suffered in a recent shooting at a concert in Mississippi.

Hardy is heading to Mizzou to begin rehabilitation from being shot in the upper leg. In Mizzou football’s Monday morning statement, the program stated that a timeline for Hardy’s return to football activities was unknown at the time.

Football fans everywhere — Tigers and others — will be glad to hear that Hardy is leaving the hospital. Updates on Hardy’s football status figure to be a closely followed story.

Last season, Hardy was the SEC’s most productive ball-carrier in rushing yards with 1,649. The Louisiana-Monroe transfer won SEC Newcomer of the Year and was named a consensus All-American, as well as first-team All-SEC.
