Ahmad Hardy starts Border War with incredible 32-yard TD run

Ahmad Hardy came to Mizzou this offseason by way of Louisiana-Monroe, where he stood out as a true freshman in 2024.
Like every other player on the Mizzou roster, Hardy has never played in a Border War against Kansas, as these 2 intense rivals haven’t met on the football field since the Tigers left for the SEC following the 2011 season.
Hardy made a statement in the first quarter of the return of the Border War, though, leading the Tigers to a touchdown on the game’s opening drive. Here you can see him find the end zone on a 32-yard touchdown run in which he breaks a tackle:
Mizzou lost its top kicker to a torn ACL last weekend, and the backup missed the extra point. There was also an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the TD run, but all in all, it was a great opening drive for Eli Drinkwitz and company.

The atmosphere at Faurot Field is going to be intense all afternoon long. The Mizzou defense will need to keep Kansas QB Jalon Daniels uncomfortable if the Tigers are going to emerge victorious.
