Alabama has made a change to its 2029 schedule.
The Crimson Tide have added a matchup with Louisiana Tech. That game will be played in Tuscaloosa on Aug. 25, 2029.
Alabama and Louisiana Tech have played 5 times before. Improbably, the Bulldogs technically hold a 3-2 series advantage over the Crimson Tide. However, that includes an Alabama forfeit for a game it won 56-3 on the field.
Louisiana Tech did beat Mike DuBose twice in the 1990s, meaning the Bulldogs will enter this game against the Tide with a multi-game winning streak in this series. They last met in 1999 in Birmingham — a game the Bulldogs won 29-28.

Alabama will presumably be a massive favorite to even the all-time series when these programs meet in 2029. The Crimson Tide are perennial SEC title contenders and are coming off of an appearance in the College Football Playoff.
In 2029, the only nonconference opponent currently on Alabama’s schedule is Notre Dame.
As for the 2026 team, Alabama will begin the season on Sept. 5 against East Carolina. The Crimson Tide once again have SEC Championship Game and College Football Playoff aspirations this fall.
