Alabama will be without defensive back Zabien Brown for the remainder of its Week 7 contest against Tennessee.

Brown emerged from the locker room without pads after suffering an injury in the first half. Here’s a clip of Brown on the sideline as the second half begun in Knoxville:

Brown is the latest member of Alabama‘s starting lineup to be dealing with an injury. The Crimson Tide are missing multiple starters against the Vols and also lost freshman running back EJ Crowell in the first half to an apparent injury.

If Brown does miss time, it would be a big loss for Alabama’s secondary. He’s regarded as one of the best defensive backs in the SEC and is a key member of Alabama’s defense.

So far this season, Brown has amassed 17 tackles and 4 pass deflections.

Alabama is looking to win in Knoxville for the first time since 2020. The Crimson Tide had won 15 games in a row over the Vols until Tennessee snapped that streak in 2022. Tennessee has now won back-to-back games over Alabama in Neyland Stadium entering Saturday’s contest.
