Alabama has made an intriguing hire to help build out its 2026 coaching staff.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, the Crimson Tide have hired Noah Fisher to be an assistant tight ends coach for the 2026 season. Fisher was previously a graduate assistant at Louisville who was assigned to the Cardinals’ offensive linemen and tight ends.
Fisher was also a standout left tackle as a player at South Alabama from 2014-18.

Fisher will be working under new Alabama assistant coach Richard Owens, who was hired to be the Tide’s tight end coach earlier this spring. Fisher worked under Owens at Louisville before both made the move to Tuscaloosa.
Fisher and Owens will have their work cut out for them with regards to Alabama’s tight end room. Josh Cuevas is now in the NFL, so the Tide will have to rely on inexperienced options at that position. Kaleb Edwards is seemingly in line to be the starter after he caught 11 passes for 150 yards last season.
Alabama will open up the 2026 season against East Carolina on Sept. 5.
