One of the top Class of 2027 players in the state of Alabama is planning to stay in the Yellowhammer State for his college football career.
Jatori Williams, a standout offensive lineman, is the newest verbal commitment for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He announced his plans to play for Kalen DeBoer‘s program on Monday.
Out of Phenix City (Alabama) Central High School, Williams is listed as measuring 6-4 and 330 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Williams is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 player in the state of Alabama, No. 6 interior offensive lineman and No. 150 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
A top lineman playing in SEC country attracted some notable interest. Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Mizzou, North Carolina, Ole Miss and Tennessee all extended. But according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, it came down to Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia, with Williams picking the Crimson Tide.
Williams is the third early commitment for Alabama’s 2027 class, which ranks No. 12 nationally on the Composite. He still has a couple more seasons of high school football before taking his talents to Tuscaloosa, so we’ll see if the verbal commitment holds.
