The Alabama Crimson Tide were staring down a third consecutive regular-season loss in Week 8. Fortunately for Kalen DeBoer, they rallied and defeated the Texas A&M Aggies 31-20 to get back on a winning path.

Without contributions in all areas, the Crimson Tide would not have emerged victorious on Saturday. On Monday, Alabama named its Players of the Week from the game: three players on offense and defense, plus two on special teams.

Offensively, wide receiver Rico Scott and tight end Kaleb Edwards led the way for the Crimson Tide. Scott paced Alabama with six receptions and 156 yards vs. Texas A&M, topping his previous season-high in yardage (56) by exactly 100 yards. Edwards made just two catches against the Aggies, but scored what wound up being the game-sealing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

While the offense sealed the game late, Alabama’s defense kept the team tight all afternoon long. Defensive lineman Fatutoa Henry and linebacker Caleb Woodson stood out the most for Kane Womack’s unit. Henry, a senior from Lawndale, CA, made two sacks. Woodson tallied a team-high 10 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, to set the tone for the Tide.

Noah Rogers got the special teams nod for Alabama. On scout units, Jared Graham, Zay Hall and Peyton Fox earned recognition. The Crimson Tide are on bye this weekend before a date with LSU on Nov. 7.
