The Alabama Crimson Tide are 39-2-1 against the Kentucky Wildcats in football. Head coach Kalen DeBoer and Co. are going for the program’s 40th victory in the matchup in Week 2, and are sizeable favorites to earn it.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Alabama is a 10.5-point favorite over Kentucky in Week 2. The Crimson Tide is -410 on the money line, while the Wildcats are +320. The game’s total is set at 48.5 points.
Both Kentucky and Alabama saw 58 total points on the scoreboard in their Week 1 contests. The Crimson Tide defeated the East Carolina Pirates 48-10 on Saturday. Quarterback Keelon Russell, making his first career start, completed 60% of his passes (18/30) for 256 yards in the victory. He added 86 yards and a touchdown as a rusher.
Russell’s passing numbers were harmed somewhat by drops from Ryan Coleman-Williams. The second-year signal-caller will need his star wideout to be more consistent against the Wildcats, who opened the Will Stein Era with a 45-13 win over Youngstown State. Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns versus the Penguins.
