This weekend’s titanic clash between Alabama and Georgia is being closely monitored as Tropical Storm Isaias builds off the coast of Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. The storm is expected to intensify into a hurricane before making landfall Saturday morning.

While the storm will decline in intensity the further inland it moves, heavy rain and winds will still affect Tuscaloosa should it continue its projected course. Saturday’s game is currently scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

On Wednesday, Alabama athletics released a statement regarding the incoming storm. As of now, per the statement, there are no plans to alter the contest. The situation is being closely monitored, and conditions will continue to be observed as the week rolls on.

To give you a visual, here’s the latest on the storm from The Weather Channel:

Georgia took the most recent matchup in this series, taking down the Crimson Tide to win the SEC championship last season after the Bulldogs lost to the Crimson Tide in the regular season. Alabama had won 3 straight contests against Georgia heading into last season’s SEC championship game.

Per usual, this year’s battle features 2 of the best teams in not only the SEC, but the country. Alabama is ranked No. 6 following a blowout win over Mississippi State, while Georgia has yet to be truly tested after blowout wins of their own over Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.

Buckle up, folks.
