Alabama picked up a major win over No. 7 Florida State on Sunday afternoon.

The Crimson Tide held the Noles to just a single run in a 2-1 victory. Alabama’s win was powered by a pair of home runs by Kenleigh Cahalan and Bailey Dowling.

In the circle, Alabama received another dominant performance from Montana Fouts. She allowed just 4 hits, 2 walks and 1 run across 7 innings of work. Fouts also struck out 7 batters in Florida State’s vaunted lineup.

Alabama is now 6-2 on the year and has rebounded nicely from a season-opening loss to Lehigh. In addition to FSU, the Crimson Tide already have wins over Indiana, UCF and Duke.

Alabama will be in action again on Wednesday against Samford.
