The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up yet another massive SEC win this past Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers, knocking off their hated rivals by a final score of 37-20.
One of the biggest keys to the Tide’s victory over the Vols was the outstanding performance of sophomore defensive back Zabien Brown, who racked up 7 total tackles and had a 99-yard pick-6 against Tennessee.
Brown played about as perfect a game as possible for a defensive player, and he was just named the Bronko Nagurski National Player of the Week for his elite performance against the Volunteers.

A former 5-star recruit, Brown joined the Tide ahead of the 2024 season and started all 13 games for the team as a true freshman, racking up 18 total tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and 3 interceptions during his first year in Tuscaloosa.
Entering last Saturday’s game against the Vols, Brown had recorded 5 total tackles and pass breakups over Alabama’s first 6 games of the year, becoming one of the team’s best defenders in the secondary over that span.
This elite performance further solidified his status as one of the SEC’s top defenders, as does the National Player of the Week honor he picked as a result of his stellar play against Tennessee.
