Just like the SEC coaches’ awards, the AP announced their 2018 SEC basketball awards Tuesday.
Rick Barnes won Coach of the Year by both metrics, while Collin Sexton also won Freshman/Newcomer of the Year in each, too. While those two things may have stayed the same, Yante Maten was honored by the AP as the Player of the Year from the SEC in 2018.
