The name Manning resonates with everyone in football, and the recruitment of 2023 quarterback Arch Manning is starting to heat up.

Arch is the son of Cooper Manning and is Peyton and Eli’s nephew. Currently, Arch is a rising sophomore, and he’s hit a big growth spurt this summer. He’s now listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds. Arch’s hype isn’t just the name Manning, though. As a freshman starter on varsity at Isidore Newman (New Orleans), Arch threw for over 2,400 yards and 34 touchdowns.

The younger Manning’s game will remind one more of Archie’s dual-threat ability as opposed to Peyton or Eli’s game. Arch is more mobile than both Peyton or Eli.

Arch is too young to receive official offers from colleges; however, it won’t be long until he’s the most sought-after prospect in the country. Most have figured that Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Duke are all in the mix. Local Louisiana reporter Mike Detillier was asked where he thinks Arch will end up, and neither were SEC programs. The 2 schools to watch, according to Detillier? Clemson and Oklahoma.

“When I look at it, who are the two schools that you can name that have pumped out these quarterbacks? Oklahoma – Lincoln Riley, quarterback whisperer. Clemson. Just look at what Clemson has had and it kind of dominoes with Deshaun Watson, Trevor Lawrence and the next cat they’re gonna have after Trevor is pretty doggone good too…I would keep my eye on Oklahoma and Clemson.”

Detillier said he believes that Arch won’t end up at Ole Miss (like Archie or Eli) and that LSU has a better shot with the quarterback than the Rebels, although he said the Tigers could be on the “outside looking in.”

Arch’s freshman highlights are below, and it’s easy to see why he’s an elite prospect:
