Arch Manning’s grandfather is Pro Football Hall of Famer Archie Manning. His uncle, Peyton, is also now in the Hall of Fame. And his other uncle, Eli, is a 2-time Super Bowl champion.
As for himself, Arch Manning, a quarterback at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, is the No. 1 player in the 2023 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Oh, and it seems that he can punt, too.
While much of the recruiting attention has come from Manning’s arm — and rightfully so — it turns out he can also kick a football really far. He showed that on Friday night, when he had an impressive punt in Newman’s preseason loss to Ponchatoula.
MaxPreps shared a video captured by Josh Preston that shows Manning’s impressive punt:

There are quite a few colleges with interest in Manning, which isn’t a surprise. Last month, he took an unofficial visit to Ole Miss. He also took unofficial visits to Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas, SMU and Clemson in June.
While Manning won’t be a punter once he gets to college — he’ll be busy at quarterback — this is just another way that shows how talented he is on the football field. It clearly runs in the family.
