The Arkansas Razorbacks football team has earned a strong commitment for the 2027 recruiting class, landing 3-star offensive lineman Judah Gumbs.
The 6-foot-6 Gumbs, who is entering his senior season at Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla., pledged to Arkansas over offers from Syracuse, Mississippi State, Tulane and Houston.
Rated at No. 97 among offensive tackles nationally by 247 Sports Composite, Gumbs went on an official visit to Arkansas on June 12 and more recently visited Tulane in June 18 before making his commitment official Saturday.
Armwood went 13-1 in 2025 with Gumbs anchoring the offensive line, tasting its lone loss in the Class 6A state semifinals against West Boca Raton. The Hawks racked up 2,220 yards of rushing offense and 2,166 yards of passing offense in 2025.
Gumbs is Arkansas’ 20th commitment in the 2027 class, and is set to join fellow offensive linemen Alijah Shaw, Teagan Parizek, Odaefe Oruru, Henry Frazier and Bradley Sturdivant in coach Ryan Silverfield’s first full recruiting cycle.
The Razorbacks, who fired coach Sam Pittman last season en route to a 2-10 record, open Silverfield’s first season in Fayetteville with a home game against North Alabama on Sept. 5 (4:15 pm ET, SEC Network). The Hogs travel to Utah on Sept. 12 (10:15 pm ET, ESPN) before opening the SEC slate Sept. 19 at home vs. Georgia (Noon ET, ABC).
