Arkansas declined Mizzou’s request to wear home jerseys for Battle Line matchup, per Eli Drinkwitz
The Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide brought color-on-color uniforms back to their intense rivalry this season. Across college football, BYU-Utah and UCLA-USC traditionally wear blue and red, respectively, in their matchups. The Missouri Tigers wanted to do the same in one of their rivalries, but were shut down.
According to head coach Eli Drinkwitz, the Arkansas Razorbacks declined Mizzou’s request to wear home jerseys for this weekend’s Battle Line matchup.
The Tigers and Razorbacks have faced off each of the last 12 seasons. Missouri has won 10 of those contests, including four straight. In 2023 and 2025, the Tigers beat the ‘Hogs by multiple possessions in Fayetteville. Last year’s tussle was highlighted by Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts each posting 100 rushing yards and Kevin Coleman Jr.’s 67-yard punt return touchdown that sealed a 31-17 Mizzou win.
Arkansas (3-4, 1-3 SEC) has struggled in year one of the Ryan Silverfield Era. But the Razorbacks picked up their first SEC win of the season against Vanderbilt in Week 7 and could win back-to-back conference games for the first time since 2021 with a victory on Halloween.
The Tigers (5-2, 2-2 SEC) can remain on the edge of the College Football Playoff picture before matchups with Texas, Georgia and Kentucky if they prevail. Arkansas and Mizzou kick off at 7:45 p.m. E.T. (SEC Network).
