Arkansas lands 2027 commitment from Tennessee DL

James Stewart is calling the hogs.
The Class of 2027 defensive lineman from Tennessee is the newest Arkansas commitment. He announced his verbal pledge to play for the Razorbacks on Monday via social media.

Out of Murfreesboro (Tennessee) Riverdale High School, Stewart is listed as measuring 6-1, 285 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Stewart is rated 3-stars, the No. 35 recruit in the state of Tennessee, No. 99 defensive lineman and No. 856 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
Stewart has collected 23 scholarship offers during his recruitment. His commitment to the Hogs comes 8 days after his visit to Arkansas. He also visited Boston College and had planned a trip to Tulane for later this week. Other schools to show interest include Colorado, Illinois, Maryland and Memphis.
With Stewart on board, Arkansas is up to 14 verbal commitments for its 2027 class, which ranks No. 45 nationally on the Composite. He is the 4th recent new commitment for Ryan Silverfield and his staff. Arkansas picked up 3 commitments on Sunday.
