Back in 2016, Houston-area RB Rakeem Boyd committed to the Texas A&M Aggies and spent the 2016 season as a redshirt.

However, he then left the program, spending the 2017 season at Independence Community College in Kansas.

Now, though, he’s ready to get back to the FBS level, and on Monday evening, he announced he’d be playing for Arkansas in 2018 and beyond:

According to 247Sports, Boyd is the No. 3 JUCO running back in the class of 2018 and the No. 13 overall JUCO prospect from the state of Texas.

New Arkansas coach Chad Morris has been hot on the recruiting trails lately, and he’s continued that momentum in a big way with the addition of Boyd to the Hogs’ 2018 class on Monday.
