Auburn coach Gus Malzahn updates status of star RB Kamryn Pettway

Auburn sophomore RB Kamryn Pettway has been a star for the Tigers this season, rushing for 1,106 yards and seven touchdowns so far.
However, in last weekend’s win against Vanderbilt, Pettway suffered a leg injury late in the fourth quarter.
Coach Gus Malzahn said during Wednesday’s SEC Media Presser that Pettway was still missing from Auburn’s practice session on Wednesday and his status for Saturday’s game at Georgia is still up in the air.
“He did not,” Malzahn said. “He’s healing, we will see.”
If Pettway can get a few practice reps later this week, Malzahn is confident it won’t take long for him to prepare for Georgia.
“It’s not hard to get someone ready (this late in the week),” he said. “Our guys have had plenty of reps this season.”
Auburn’s game against Georgia kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday and can be seen on CBS.
