Auburn is heading into a huge year under Hugh Freeze, as the Tigers are only 11-14 in his first 2 seasons. While the team has had moments the last two seasons, one of the biggest issues for the Tigers has been the inconsistent play on offense, namely in the passing game.
This season, Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold figures to be the guy, and there are big expectations for him. Luckily for Arnold, the Tigers have some big time playmakers at the receiver position, as receivers Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr. were named to the preseason Biletnikoff watch list.
Here’s the official announcement:
Coleman had an impressive freshman season for the Tigers, as he finished with 37 catches for 598 yards and 8 touchdowns. At 6-foot-3, 201 pounds, he creates a lot of mismatches with his size, but also has the speed to make the big play.
One of the biggest players in the 2025 transfer portal was Singleton, who played his first 2 years at Georgia Tech. Last season, he had 56 catches for 754 yards and 3 touchdowns. He has elite speed, and can also make plays in the running game in form of jet-sweeps. His ability to win in the slot makes him a perfect combination to pair with Coleman and sophomore Malcom Simmons.
The Tigers’ defense has been solid the past 2 years, but the playmakers on the offensive side of the ball have Auburn fans feeling optimism that the team can become a true contender in the SEC.
