New Auburn coach Alex Golesh is adding depth to the Tigers’ quarterback room, reportedly signing Oregon State QB transfer Tristan Ti’a.

The Montgomery Advertiser reported Monday that Ti’a is set to become the 22nd addition to Auburn’s transfer portal class. The redshirt freshman will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Ti’a visited Auburn over the weekend and offered his commitment to join a Tigers team that also added former USF standout Byrum Brown – who played for Golesh in Tampa and transferred earlier this month. Brown’s backup, Locklan Hewlett, also transferred to Auburn.

Ti’a spent played three games in Corvallis in 2025, including a starting in the season finale against Washington State. He completed 69.8% of his passes for 385 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Auburn lost all three returning quarterbacks from the 2025 campaign – as Jackson Arnold, Ashton Daniels and Deuce Knight all hit the portal after the Tigers’ 5-7 season. That disappointing campaign, Auburn’s fourth straight losing season that included a 1-7 mark in SEC play.

Auburn’s only league win in 2025 came at Arkansas, and coach Hugh Freeze was fired following a 10-3 home loss on Nov. 1. Golesh was lured from USF on Nov. 30 after a three-season campaign in Tampa that saw the Bulls go 23-15 overall and 14-10 in American Conference play.
