Auburn coach Alex Golesh has reportedly signed another one of his former players to the Tigers’ 2026 roster.

According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer, Auburn has signed cornerback Gavin Jenkins out of the transfer portal. Jenkins was a class of 2025 signee who redshirted at USF this season.

Jenkins is one of numerous players from South Florida’s 2025 roster who have already signed with Auburn for next season’s campaign.

As a recruit, Jenkins was a 3-star prospect. He was the No. 103 cornerback in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He had offers from programs such as Houston and Toledo and also took an unofficial visit to Florida State during his recruiting process.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jenkins recorded 33 snaps this season for USF. He totaled 2 tackles and allowed 1 reception in 16 coverage snaps.

Auburn is expected to continue making transfer portal additions in the coming weeks as Golesh builds out his first roster at Auburn. The transfer portal opened on Jan. 2 and will remain open for 2 weeks.
