After the rough week they had, including losing to Houston in the Birmingham Bowl, the Auburn Tigers could use a bit of good news and they got it Saturday as tight end John Samuel Shenker announced he would be returning to the team next season.
Shenker made the announcement via social media in part saying how much he loved Auburn University but there was still work to do.
Shenker caught 33 passes for 413 yards and 0 touchdowns. That all may change next year as expectations are that the Tigers will be making some changes on the offensive side of the ball.
We’ll see if a new quarterback means even better stats for Shenker and boost his NFL Draft stock.
