Booger McFarland says Trinidad Chambliss is best QB in the country

Through three weeks, no team in the country possesses two better wins than the Ole Miss Rebels. Head coach Pete Golding‘s team has a neutral-field win over the Louisville Cardinals and a home victory vs. the LSU Tigers on its resume as it prepares for a trip to The Swamp.
Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss is the primary reason Ole Miss finds itself 3-0 this season. He was excellent against LSU, completing 68.8% of his passes (33/48) for 363 yards, two touchdowns and an interception against the Tigers. The Rebels likely wouldn’t have beaten Lane Kiffin or the Cardinals without his services, which led ESPN analyst Booger McFarland to call Chambliss “the best quarterback in the country.”
McFarland’s colleague, Dan Orlovsky, agreed with his assertion. However, many fans were quick to challenge their stance. Some detractors believe Chambliss, who’s 24 years old, has a significant edge over other passers because of his age. Others pointed to Miami’s Darian Mensah — who completed all 20 of his first half passes against Wake Forest in Week 3 — as the best signal-caller.
In Chambliss’ state, Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor is also putting on quite a show to begin the season. Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton has played brilliantly, as well. There are tons of passers who are having good years, but none have the victory pelts on the wall to match Chambliss at this moment. Until someone knocks the Rebels off their pedestal, the crown will be his to keep.
