Former LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly won’t be coaching in 2026, but he’ll still be around the game of college football in a few different media roles.
In addition to his previously announced analyst gig with CBS Sports, Kelly revealed on Thursday that he will co-hosting a weekly radio show with Danny Kanell and Roy Philpott. Kelly set to appear on the show every Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. ET throughout the season. Kannell and Philpott, it’s worth noting, appear on SiriusXM’s college sports radio every weekday from 6-9am.
“I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned in my many years on the sidelines into the studio with the outstanding team at SiriusXM,” Kelly said, via a SiriusXM press release on Thursday. “Danny and Roy are two pros with great energy and a passion for the game that I share. I look forward to partnering with them every week to give fans an insider’s view of today’s game and the teams and players we’re watching every week.”
According to the SiriusXM release, the show will “break down the biggest programs, players, games, and storylines from across college football, offering perspectives from both the sideline and the field.”
Kelly was fired by LSU last season after another season of expectations fell short in Baton Rouge. The former Grand Valley State, Central Michigan and Notre Dame head coach is entering his first season without coaching college football since 1991.
