Brian Kelly made an aggressive call with Jayden Daniels to convert a 2-point play, and the LSU quarterback rolled to the right, and found Mason Taylor in the front corner of the end zone to beat Alabama 32-21 in overtime. There were 8 lead changes in the game after halftime.
After Alabama scored first in overtime, LSU turned to Daniels, who scampered in from 25 yards out to answer Roydell Williams’ touchdown for Alabama, which opened the extra session.
It was Taylor, who caught a touchdown with 1:47 remaining in the fourth quarter and overall had 3 catches for 36 yards.
The win puts LSU in the driver’s seat in the SEC West, and fans understood the magnitude as they rushed the field to celebrate almost as soon as Taylor stood up in the end zone.
