Brian Kelly is set to become the next LSU head coach, per multiple reports. The Tigers are set to make it public as soon as Tuesday.
So, while Kelly is apparently on the move to LSU, he hasn’t even spoken to his former staff members at Notre Dame yet and informed them of the move, The Athletic’s Matt Fortuna and ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg are reporting.
This is usually how these things go, but Brian Kelly has ghosted everyone at Notre Dame. Just spoke to one assistant who saw reports on his phone tonight as he was exiting a recruit’s home: “The news broke when I walked out of the house, so I look like a f—– a–hole.”

Multiple Notre Dame staff members still haven’t heard from Brian Kelly about the expected departure to LSU.

As Matt Fortuna stated, that’s usually how these things go; however, it’s still surprising that his staff members haven’t heard from him in several hours after it was reported he was heading to LSU.
The Irish are in the midst of a College Football Playoff run at the moment, and it’s plausible the Irish could end up making the final four Sunday. Wouldn’t that be something?
Kelly is already reportedly working on his new LSU staff, too.
