There’s no denying that Tennessee S/KR Evan Berry is one of the most dynamic players in the SEC when he has the ball in his hands.

As a defender and kick returner, Berry has managed to find his way to the end zone five times during his three years in Knoxville (four on kickoff returns and once on an interception return).

Now, according to GoVols247, coach Butch Jones said Berry could get a chance to show his skills on offense, too:

“There’s a possibility there,” Jones said following Tuesday’s practice, “but the first thing is we have to get Evan’s health back. It starts at the safety position, it starts as a kickoff returner and then obviously you could see his role kind of be expanded a little bit on the offensive side of the ball as well.”

Berry tore his ACL last November, so he’ll need to prove his knee can hold up before he gets any action on offense.

However, it’s an intriguing prospect for the Vols, who lost a lot of offensive production in RBs Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd and WR Josh Malone from last season.
