Cai Bates, 4-star CB out of Orlando, announces SEC commitment

Cai Bates, a 6-foot-1 1/2 and 180-pound cornerback out of Orlando, Florida (Edgewater), has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Bates, who has a reported 43 offers, committed to LSU over the likes of Tennessee, Florida State and Alabama. He visited the all 4 schools in June. He is the No. 11 player in the Class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 15 player in the state of Florida. He was recruited to LSU by Robert Steeples and Sherman Wilson.

Bates is the second-highest rated recruit in LSU’s class, as the Tigers have 20 commits to date.
