Caleb Williams reflects on winning Heisman Trophy, how his parents helped him achieve goals

Caleb Williams didn’t get much sleep Saturday night, but made time to visit the NFL Today set on CBS on Sunday to reflect on his Heisman Trophy journey.
Williams has said writing down his goals and a vision was a big part of his success. His parents contributed, too.
“They were the main part of it,” Williams said. “Obviously I didn’t have the plan, I didn’t have the resources. I was just a kid, had a dream, had goals and aspirations to do big things. My mom and my dad, they were huge in creating a plan and planning things out for me to where now I’m standing here today in front of y’all.”
Williams also reflected on trusting Lincoln Riley twice, first as a high school recruit at Oklahoma, and then as a transfer to Southern Cal. He said their relationship is as strong as it’s ever been.
“Right now it’s booming and we’ve got another year, and the job’s not done,” he said.
Williams said he looks to model his game after Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.
