LSU star Whit Week has been out since suffering an injury against Texas A&M, and his status moving forward has been kept under the radar.
However, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports provided an update on Weeks that said that the LSU linebacker potentially could be back practicing next week, with a chance of playing against Alabama in Week 10.
The Tigers are playing some very good football since the loss to Kentucky, as they outscored Mississippi State and Auburn, 69-17 the last two weeks. The win at Auburn was especially impressive, as Alex Golesh’s team was coming off an upset over previously undefeated, Georgia.
The defense has been very good, and getting Weeks back would be a monster addition to that side of the ball. He has 23 tackles on the season, but he is the heart-and-soul of that unit, and getting him back could take them to another level.
With the Tigers on a bye this week, this will be something to keep an eye on moving forward. The game against Alabama is shaping up to be a huge game, potentially even an elimination game of sorts when it comes to the College Football Playoff.
Kickoff for that game will be at 3:30 p.m. ET, and that game will be on ABC.
