Chris Brazzell receives injury update after being carted off the field at Panthers practice, per report

Chris Brazzell will miss the first few weeks of his rookie season after suffered a moderate LCL tear during 7-on-7s at Carolina Panthers practice on Wednesday, according to a report from The Athletic’s Joe Person.
Brazzell suffered the injury earlier on Wednesday, his first day back after the Panthers decided to hold him out of practice as the former Tennessee WR dealt with left knee soreness. According to Person, the Panthers do not believe Brazzell’s LCL tear is related to his earlier injury.
That’s a brutal way to start your rookie career, but it could have been worse for Brazzell, who could miss up to 8 weeks as the Panthers get ready for preseason and Week 1, which kicks off on September 9. If all goes well, that timetable should put Brazzell back on the field around Week 4.
Brazzell was selected by Carolina in the 3rd round of the 2026 NFL Draft as speedy vertical threat for Bryce Young.
