Cincinnati player carted off field, put in worse pain as it backs him into wall

It was a rough second quarter for Cincinnati defensive tackle Josh Hough.
Hough and the Bearcats are in Morgantown to take on West Virginia. The Bearcats have enjoyed a strong season under Scott Satterfield, entering Saturday’s game with a 4-1 record.
But the Bearcats will have to move on without Hough. He suffered an injury in the second quarter and had to be carted off the field. That wasn’t the end of the story, though. Watch as the cart driver backs into a wall, causing Hough to be in more pain than he already was at the moment:
Hough, a sixth-year player, was rated as a top 25 running back out of high school when he signed with Syracuse out of the class of 2021. He didn’t play in 2021 after suffering an injury before the season, then missed the 2022 season as well.
After transferring to Division II California, he switched to defensive line and spent three seasons there. He then entered the transfer portal and made his return to FBS, signing with Satterfield and Cincinnati. He entered Saturday’s game with 15 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, and 3.0 sacks.
Given Hough’s early career was limited by injury, hopefully this latest setback isn’t a serious one.
